It's Cheaper to buy a gallon of gasoline than use Ethos! I have added this to my engine oil & gas tank as instructions say; first tank was 2 mpg more per gallon, but the 2nd time was average. The engine seems to run smoother. Our car has close to 95,000 miles on it.
I have to use 2 ounces per each fill up which is around 8 gallons of gas just to average 2 extra miles per gallon. In my opinion, Lucas Fuel Additive works better and is alot cheaper to use. (Especially if you buy it by the gallon & refill the quart bottles. For me, Ethos was a huge waste of money! Only worth using in older cars/trucks Ethos FR is GREAT in older cars. Not for the gas mileage, but it cleans out the engine like you wouldn't believe. It can completely reverse a lot of common 'old car' problems, and start making them run like new again. It's amazing in that regard. As far as saving money at the pump, 1-2mpg increase is common, sometimes you'll see a little more, sometimes not at all.
I'd recommend this product to ANYONE driving a car older than 10-15 years old. It'll help prolong the life of your vehicle for years and years. If you want to save money on gas, probably look elsewhere. That's not to say this stuff is worthless. It's an amazing investment if your car isn't running well. 5 Star Customer service & Measurable results I ordered my Ethos on July 31 and this review is for the excellent customer service I received from American Earth Products.
If the product is ANYTHING like the fuel additive I used to get from AMWAY back in the early 90's, I anticipate great results. I will post another review regarding the effectiveness of the product after I burn off a tank or two with the Ethos added.
~~~ I have now been using it for 3 months and it has measurably increased my mileage in the 2001 Crown Victoria (4.6L V8 Engine) 1.5-2 MPG - that's with $top & go driving. I anticipate 3-4 MPG better if I take a long (400+ miles) interstate trip. 1 Gallon Ethos Fuel Reformulator I have been using Ethos in my 2004 Buick Rendezvous for about a month now. I'm still "crunching the numbers" on the mileage because we (Oregon) do not pump our own gas, so there can be variations each time we fill and ask them not to top it off. But, my car runs sooooo much quieter and I do have to be careful when I'm driving without cruise control because I have found myself pushing 80 mph with no strain.
Hint for new users--1) Use 4 oz. per 10 gallons gas for the first two tanks, then drop to 1 or two oz/10 gal. afterwards. Disconnect both posts of the battery for at least an hour some time after each of the first 2 or 3 tanks full. Helps reset the oxygen sensors so mileage may pick up.
THANK YOU for such prompt service!!! I ordered the Gallon of Ethos plus the dispenser bottle on Wednesday and got them on Friday. That's excellent!!! rip-off When i received may order it was short by one gallon. a small box was placed in the case to fill the slot of the missing gallon. The packing slip made no mention of a back-ordered gallon. I have yet to hear from the company of my short order. Now I see this item is no longer availabe on Amazon website. Beware!!!!!
