Good intake for a good price. 
I have installed and used a number of different intakes over the years. This one that i used on my Dads 2007 Avalanche was not to hard to install, is full plastic so it doesnt get hot and heat up hp, and helped us get 1-1.5 mpg better on our recent trip to NC this winter. Overall good product with a good price. I do however dont like how the heater hoses and pcv valve setup are on this kit, but they work so its ok.
WOW, WHAT A DIFFERENCE.
Reasonably easy to install. Took about an hour. Only complaint is in reguards to the supplied hose clamps. Two of the clamps were to small. Fortunatly you can reuse the factory clamps. I was blown away by improved preformance! Driveability at all rpms is improved. especially in 6th gear. The transmission no longer downshifts on hills at hwy speeds. If you have a 6.2 litre ,do your self a favor and get one of these.

This was incredibly easy to install. K&N says about 90 minutes, I read over the instructions a few times and watched the 5 minute video on their website about installation, and I was DONE 60 minutes after I started.
I am very pleased with the impact on performance. Significantly improved responsiveness from my 5.3L 2008 Silverado. Barely noticeable increase in noise under acceleration only. Really isn't an issue, and my wife hasn't noticed at all. Highly recommended. I may get a single MPG in mileage, but the performance increase is so impressive. Low speeds, high speeds, streets or freeways. I love it!
In use on a '09 Silverado
I've had this on my '09 Silverado for just shy of 2 years now. The fitting of it on the truck was a little tight w/ the filter shield, but the pieces do fit & the directions are accurate. I've had no issues w/ the product. I've used K&N filters or chargers on almost every vehicle I've owned. I've yet to be disappointed w/ them. Depending on the vehicle, and whether it was a filter only or a charger, I've cleaned a few of the filters w/ the recharge kits and they've always been as good as new. It saves you money in the long run w/ buying replacement paper filters and I've always gotten a couple of mpg more after I've replaced the stock air intake w/ the K&N one. Overall, I'm quite pleased w/ the product and I'd buy it again.
Sounds great, small but noticeable improvement in power.
Installation took two hours. For my 2008 Silverado, I had to drill a 5/8 inch mounting hole in the pan under the air box. The instructions for placing the hole are contained in the installation manual so don't worry. This could be a nasty surprise if you don't have the drill bit handy because you wont know if you need to add the hole until you remove the factory air box. I also managed to break the tab on the air flow sensor electrical connector. Word of warning, be patient while removing the plug, there is a small tab clipping the connector into the sensor housing. I agree with Dustin's review regarding the heater hose management. The standoff is awkward, but it works. I've had the intake for a week and I believe the engine is more responsive to the gas pedal and power has improved especially at higher rpm. The engine idles at about 100 rpm lower than with the factory air box. The sound is what you'll notice the most. The tone of the engine noise is lower and fuller and the volume is louder.
