The SCC Super Z6 SZ129 winter traction product offers superior performance for cars, pickups, and SUVs with very limited operating clearance around the drive tires. Be ready for winter driving with an innovative solution that is a step beyond traditional tire chains.

New Design
Based on the "Z" family of products, the Super Z6 is designed for vehicles with restricted clearance around the drive tires. The Super Z6 requires only 6.33 millimeters (.25 inches) of sidewall clearance to operate, less than half the space required by most cable and tire chains.

Easy to Install
A split outside cable with two fastening positions allows for easy installation without moving the vehicle, so there's no need to stop and retighten. The traction coils are manufactured from alloy steel to increase the lifespan of the product. The Super Z6 is also designed to prevent scratching of alloy or high performance tire rims.

The Super Z6 is available to fit passenger cars, pickups, and SUV tire sizes. It offers a unique combination of performance and convenience features for every user, including a "designed-in" rubber tightener, better all-around traction performance than conventional tire chains or cables, and greater durability.

Fantastic Product, Superior to standard ladder type cables

This is a superb product, available for only slightly more than the standard and hard to correctly install normal ladder-type cables. The zig-zag pattern of these ladder cables is wound with dozens of small coils instead of basic wrap-around strips of metal, providing extra traction and ice grip. The rubber band piece provides outstanding, constantly and evenly redistributed tension and makes installation much easier than standard cables. Thule makes a much much much better product for much much much more money, but this is what I now use after purchasing a different car (with a different tire size). While the Thule was outstanding, this offers better clearance, is just as easy to put on and works fine.

In the Snow

I bought this product for a 2004 Toyota Camery. We were going up to Big Bear and it was suppose to snow. Well it did and then some. We ended up snowed in an extra day as it was like a blizzard the evening we were suppose to come down. The cables worked perfect. They were fairly easy to put on, in fact we had 2 cars, the other one was a Corolla and my son and friend both 17 beat me putting them on without any instruction. We zipped around town all weekend in the snow. They grip great and I had them on the whole 4 days with no problems. Highly recommend. And you can't beat the price on Amazon.

Easy to use

I used them during light snow while parked on ice at Mammoth. They went on in about 5 minutes. My buddy that used some older style cable chains spent about 15 minutes per tire struggling to get them on properly. It was a long, yet funny, 25 minutes or so watching him struggle in the snow. My recommendation is pay the extra money to get these changes since they are easy to use when the weather is bad. If you get something else, try to get something that you can get on fast. Otherwise, you may be entertainment to people in their nice warm and dry cars.

Satisfied

These were easy to install and provide great traction. However, the rubber band seems to lose its tension over a few days of use and I spun one chain off. I also noticed a chain of this brand at a stoplight on the road apparently also spun off. I reinforced with a few bungee cords on each wheel and haven't had any problems since.

good idea poorly executed

No way to install these, defective attachment devices. Seems like a good idea for installing chains, but manufacturing error makes impossible to install. Could not install with car on the ground, on a lift or with the tire off the car. For what these cost, you think they would inspect at the factory before sending to distributors. I have been using tire chains of various types for over forty years and have never had this much trouble. Amazon accepted in return and refunded without problem.
