When applied to tail lights, fog lights, or turn indicators, VHT Nite Shades appears black until they are lit, then the natural red color appears. Recommended for off-road use only. VHT SP999 Nite-Shades Lens Cover Tint Translucent Black Paint Can - 10 oz. customer reviews: Excellent Product VHT Night-Shades paint is an excellent product for those who want to get that expensive blackened tail light look for cheap. This product is also great for those of us who want that look, but can't find any dealers who make tail light covers for our year and make of autos. Using two light coats of this paint gets a nice, full coverage, and lets the maximum amount of light through when applying the brakes. Because you don't have to use a ton of this paint to get coverage, you can easily do 4-5 cars worth of lights per can of paint. Compairing $13 per can to $35 for covers, and even up to $250 for a full tail light assembly, how can you go wrong? Great product (for those who are not lazy) The results i got using this product were phenomenal. If you take the time to sand, apply multiple light coats and clear coat, this looks like somethingthat you get straight out of the factory, except the fact that you can chose the darkness you want. AWESOME!!! I had my buddy paint my tail lights with this spray, and this product is amazing, no blemishes, its all one solid color. Looks like regular ol' black paint but once you put on the lights, step on brake or put it in reverse, it shines through perfectly and is still very bright.!!!! amazing at smoking taillights!! this stuff works great and is easy to use! even after my first coat it was already dark!
